Room acoustics and sound absorption were very important in this project right from the start, both for the design of the central rooms, which are frequented by all grades, and for the smaller classrooms and study rooms.

Expansion and Innovation: Transforming a Historic Museum
In the ambitious redevelopment project of a 18th-century manse and farm buildings to create a seamless museum facility in 2021, HERADESIGN® wood wool ceiling tiles were utilised throughout the new extension and existing buildings. The acoustic performance of HERADESIGN® complemented the soft white and grey colour palette while providing a visually appealing and practical, acoustically effective solution for the unique architecture of the Kilmartin museum.
